6. MAJOR SEAPORTS: Puerto Limon and Puerto Moin are located on the Caribbean coast of the Atlantic Ocean, while on the Pacific Ocean coast you'll find the ports of Puerto de Puntarenas, Puerto Caldera, Golfito and Punta Morales.

RAIL AND ROADWAYS: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT), along with the National Road Council (Conavi), are the government organizations in charge of national road nomenclature and maintenance. Rail transport in Costa Rica is primarily under the stewardship of Incofer (Instituto Costarricense de Ferrocarriles), an autonomous institution of the state.
